Condolence: Jo, our very special feisty friend.
How lucky we “girls”from Scotland were to have Jo as our Courier in 1986 when we came to Canada to curl.
She was incredibly good at making everyone in the team feel special and always had the right word to say
The “basket” hid a few secrets including bottles of Glayva which she produced at regular intervals.Her fund of stories was endless
and her sense of fun ever present. One night in Edinburgh Jo & Fran appeared in the middle of the night dressed for bed with hair in rollers ready to party –and we did!
She loved Scottish music and singing with us and enjoyed watching the Scottish Dancing – she & “Andy” our mascot took part in all the nonsense of a very happy tour
Over the years we have had the pleasure of Jo’s company at our re-unions in Scotland and we will go on remembering her very fondly.
Jo was passionate about her country and her sport and gave us an insight into both.
It was a privilege and pleasure to know Jo and we are all grateful that she conducted us through a magical month in Canada

My sIncerest condolences to you and family. "Mrs. Wallace" was a remarkable woman. Our family still talks about our Christmas Eve gatherings with such fondness. Year after year, Jo would open her home to a wild bunch of Olmsteds, and she always kept a smile on her face! She touched a lot of lives with her kind, active spirit. She will be missed by many.

I still look through the wonderful photo albums Audrey kept of the Wallace family shenanigans from the '60's and '70's - which she prepared with such pride and affection - and smile at the happy faces that beamed out from those images.
